Improved
More accurate, cleaner experience descriptions with Chronos
6 days ago by ReadMe API
Experience descriptions in profiles parsed with Chronos are more accurate and cleaner: they stick closer to what the candidate wrote and rarely repeat the job title, company or dates, which stay in their own fields.
Action required
- Now: none.
POST /profile/parsing/filekeeps its parameters and its response, andexperiences[].descriptionis still a string. - Later: none. Nothing in this update is deprecated.
What changed
- Each experience's
descriptionsticks closer to what the candidate wrote about that job: far fewer sentences are reworded, summarized or translated, and far fewer tasks are left out. - The job title, company, dates and location are repeated in
descriptionfar less often. They stay intitle,company,date_start,date_endandlocation. - When a resume gives a job only its title, company and dates, its
descriptionis now left empty in most cases: those details stay in their own fields. - Chronos cuts a single job into two experiences far less often, so fewer experiences come without a title or company.
Performance
On our benchmark:
- 96.9% of experience descriptions are right, up from 78.14%: 85% fewer errors, such as a repeated job header or a reworded sentence.
- 99.48% of experience blocks are split into the right jobs, up from 95.61%.
